Why Can’t We Separate The Personal From The Political?

Being too friendly with today's villains.

Color me confused that in today’s modern world of global communication,  we appear to still be in those fraught times where the Chinese don’t want you getting too cushy with any members of the Mongol horde and contact might get you viewed as spy and saboteur.  Don’t even go near their horses.

Since when did life become Saul Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals that’s now applied to everyone and every damned sphere of life?

After the events of Florida’s school shooting  – which looks far more disturbing in how it came about via deliberate changes to school discipline and policing  – social media and the internet in general became it’s usual shouting match and echo chamber that ensues after any mass shooting.

What alarmed me in particular this time was that to some gun control advocates, anyone who didn’t denounce the NRA as a terrorist organization or opposed gun control was personally responsible for the shooting and was of course a vile, despicable, human being who supports kids being murdered.

That’s a pretty easy strawman to beat in public for an applauding mob.   But wait, are’t these the same people who are interested in diversity?  Not when it comes to worldview and politics apparently.   In fact dissenters need to be isolated, dehumanized, and possibly targeted.   If you can cost them friends and family as well as various public shamings, all the better right?

Welcome to conversation in the 21st century on the internet which is now spilling over into people’s actual real lives.  Rid yourself of dialogue and arm yourself with a cell phone and your targets contact information and workplace details that can be submitted to a two minute hate twitter mob.

Perhaps we are much more divided in terms of worldview and culture in America then we ever have been, but since when did dissenting views equal incompatibility with even spending time or associating with someone?

Recently I was having a conversation with a family member – one that I very much respect -who was surprised at how I could become “friends” with someone in the Dissident Right who my family member considered to have rather reprehensible views. (Granted, most of my family members would consider him to have said reprehensible views.)

He was particular surprised by me using the word friend.  Why would you become friends with someone with views and speech seen as inexcusable or unacceptable?  (While I don’t agree with this friend on everything, he is still a friend.)

Well regardless of where you are on the political spectrum, it’s a damn good question.

How I Became a Deplorable With Detestable Views

Picking my friends, associates, or villainous enemies to be denounced on twitter based on what they think or hide in perspective closets has always simply been a matter of how and where I meet people.

Hookah lounges. Bars. Concerts. Churches. Raucous Parties. Parties I will not mention.  Internet Forums. Gaming Circles. Gaming Servers. Family functions. Work.  My Old Campus.

Years ago before Trump was a thing, I used to play an online browser game called Astro Empires. While I’ve retained a friend from that game, one other “friend” – a rather progressive one – on Facebook told me he couldn’t be friends with me anymore because my views were detestable.   We even really enjoyed soccer too!   (At that time I was first stumbling across the Manosphere.)

When I reflected upon that moment, the recent conversation I had between me and my family member prompted that EUREKA moment in my puny bigoted backwards brain; plenty of people today view life style, worldview, political, or even cultural differences and disagreements as the whole of a person.

If their views are too far out there or “offensive”, their friendship is something that’s found to be shocking.  I find this notion troubling as to what it implies; you are what you secretly dare to ponder upon in the late night hours when you entertain crimethink thoughts about the nature of man, society, and any other specifically touchy controversial subjects where voicing opinions on what you actually think could get you fired from your job because guilt by association.

Talking to people, associating with them, or even communicating or working with them on mutually agreed ideas – even if you differ with them on everything else is certainly not allowed.

What happened to Quinn Norton, which while it certainly didn’t happen to me reminds me of myself.   She got fired hours after being hired by the New York Times for talking with the wrong people. Quinn dared to “associate” with Weev or the greatest deviant villain alive on the internet today, Andrew Aurenheimer founder of the Daily Stormer.  Whoops.

Obviously Quinn is the opposite of a Nazi, but the fact that she had communicated with him on just ONE idea they shared the same opinion on and that she felt was important produced some sort of alternate internet depiction of her as a Nazi.

I was called a Nazi because of my friendship with the infamous neo-Nazi known on the internet as weev—his given name is Andrew Auernheimer; he helps run the anti-Semitic website The Daily Stormer. In my pacifism, I can’t reject a friendship, even when a friend has taken such a horrifying path. I am not the judge of who is capable of improving as a person.

This philosophy also requires me to confront him about his terrible beliefs and their terrible consequences. I have been doing this since before his brief time as a cause célèbre in 2012—I believe it’d be hypocritical for me to turn away from this obligation. weev is just one of many terrible people I’ve cared for in my life.

I don’t support what my terrible friend believes or does. But I strongly advocate for people with a good sense of themselves and their values to engage with their terrible friends, coworkers, and relatives, to lovingly confront them for as long as it takes, and it would be wrong to not do so myself. I had what I now see as the advantage of coming from a family of terrible people.

This taught me that not everyone worthy of love is worthy of emulation. It also taught me that being given terrible ideas is not a destiny, and that intervention can change lives.

One article that covered her reaction to her Twitter scalping had this particular gem of a comment posted:

“There’s a big difference between being friends with people in private and changing their minds personally, one-by-one, and being friends with people publicly and normalizing their BS. If friendship with the Nazi is so important to her, let them be friends. But if it’s part of her public persona, that makes it part of NYT’s public persona, that makes a big cultural voice voting for white supremacy – welcome to 2018. Everyone can see everything, everyone can hear everything.”

Right there in this tripe of slime comment is everything that is wrong with social media, the internet, and our outrage culture in general.  I’m picking on this comment in particular because this is EXACTLY the kind of attitude I see reflected by so many saintly twitter and social media stake burners when they light their torches.

Being friends with bad people – or those deemed to be by our new cultural overlords – is the same thing as “normalizing” their views.   Pious peasants don’t associate with heretic harbingers or they risk becoming them or promoting them.

Even if you are friends with a Troll,  Sauron, Nazi or worse -a Communist considering their body count in the 20th century – talking, eating, communicating, gaming, participating in gay orgies, or shooting the shit with them isn’t going to “Normalize” anything.

We aren’t our political or worldview beliefs.  We are Jack, Jon, Joan, and June who are living life in the 21st century in the digital age afflicted by social media Popes who think that too many “radical” blog posts or social media rants are the absolute embodiment of what someone is 24/7.

Can’t the friend police ever take a damned break?  Don’t they have lives? Is this really what they want to reflect upon gloriously when on their death beds?

I always viewed having various friends and associates like a 9-5 job where after you got done talking about what you thought – no matter how heinous it was deemed to be, you then went on with your life.  You kept drinking beer, smoking stogies, and telling stories late into the night with them.

In fact,  I would imagine myself as a professor or his neighbor.  I could have a daily talk with some uber male feminist ally like Michael Kimmel, have very different conclusions, and go back to grabbing a beer with him later while throwing darts.

The disagreements, while fundamental to our worldview differences and how we choose to life life and spend time would fade while we live our normal lives. One would leave work, go home, unwind, and enjoy time with family and friends.  Another would go to the bar, play softball or volleyball, or watch the newest Game Of Thrones episode together.

That right there. Normal life.

Journey Of Self Discovery

When you form your worldview and outlook on life, it happens over time – often in a kind of butterfly and domino effect of situations, events, friends, and where you spend your time.   It’s a journey, just maybe not as adventurous and  epic as something out of Lord Of The Rings.

I’m far from a modern day Jesus, but I  have and do associate with plenty of sinners, reprobates, and people who are today’s version of heretics.

Lately there’s been a wave of miserly curmudgeons who want to dictate who you can and can’t hang with.  If you deviate, you are labeled some sort of ist /ism or more frequently a fascist or Nazi lover.

It’s not like I went out trying to make friends with hardcore druggies, dangerous online deviants, violent biker types, or Molotov cocktail wielding AntiFa activists.  Rather I simply kept looking for the truth and I was going to wherever it led.

I wanted to find out who I was.   Being drawn to controversy, mischievous and dirty humor, abstract in-the-clouds freedom of speech ideals, gaming, history, rebellion, cigars and smoking, etc all played apart in the paths I would choose at the forks in the road.

In fact, it was similar creating a character class with attributes in an RPG.  I was forging an identity as there were flaws in my current thinking and approach at the time that left me feeling like I was wasting away in the wind while others clearly were not.

What led me even more into the devious, deviant, and every “ist” and “ism” under the sun circles is the simple fact that they were as hostile as I was to control over freedom of association.

Not once did the mean miserly misogynists sexist racists in the manosphere writhe in constant shouting, shaming, and denunciation of myself for being friends with feminists, social justice advocates, Black Israelites, “liberals”, Trump haters, ect.

Neither did those in the #GamerGate, the Dissident Right, and even in horrible dangerous despicable your-soul-may-perish-for-eternity places like the Roosh V forum.

In fact,  not once did some White Nationalist or Supremacists types I talked to flip shit over the fact I talked to Jews, had Jewish friends, and didn’t loathe them.  Even in the case of me being mixed race, my family being mixed race of various sorts, and plenty of friends and associates being every kind of ethnicity, race, culture, factions and members of various “groups”  did this occur.

After a while, I realized where the real “bigots” were coming from and who was surprisingly far more “tolerant” despite having all sorts of views I didn’t agree with.  At the end of the day, I didn’t have to be fully 100% on board with Nazis jackbooting in Harlem with a Hivemind to agree with them that feminism is bad thing.

Look what happens to people like Laci Green who are still ardent feminists and social justice advocates who dared to ask questions and not be completely in lockstep.  They of course get all the nasty labels deliberately designed to rid them of their humanity, making them acceptable targets.

After all, if someone isn’t human and their views have no place in “acceptable” society, then there are no rules that limit what you can do to them.  The insane exaggerated hyperbole and straw-men they are tarred with is therefore not only “acceptable” but apparently some sort of cosmic justice.

Dissenters must be squashed.  For some in uber progressive circles where they spiritually and mentally self-mutilate themselves for not being better allies, they reach a breaking point.   The term “Peak Trans” comes to mind.  Now they not actually suddenly jump to the right politically, but they end up realizing that they can’t survive in a hive mind which allows for no free thinking.

Social media just exacerbates this problem of free thinking.  Express views where you question a popular and accepted narrative?  People lose their minds and you become a Nazi, ist, or ism.  People will take screenshots of denouncing you and “defriending” you.

One is either a hero or a villain – no in between.  If you associate with them in anyway or dare to be friends with them, then via guilt by association, you also become a hero or villain.

I suppose this is the evidence that we needed to prove that friends on social media really aren’t friends. However, too often have I seen family befall the same fate.  Even for family members, certain beliefs are too far and suddenly you are disowned even if the son denies the accusation.   I didn’t know we were all secret Muslims at our core.

Pearce Tefft proclaimed that “Peter Tefft, my son, is not welcome at our family gatherings any longer. I pray my prodigal son will renounce his hateful beliefs and return home. Then and only then will I lay out the feast.”

To quote the guy from 300 who get’s kicked into that bottomless pit, “This is madness.”

I have two sons, and regardless if they became die-hard SJWs who loathed every view I espoused, they’d be welcome in my house.   I’m not pouring years of time, smelly diapers, long nights, and the joys of watching them crawl, walk, and start talking down some drain filter because of what they might believe.

In fact the mere thought of it really bothers me.  I can see not marrying or dating someone because of it, but your very own flesh and blood?

However,  this isn’t a new phenomenon.  It’s one of human nature.  Plenty of family members, villagers, tribesmen, etc. have disowned each other to the point of the sword because of differences in belief.

However that was then, this is now.  Right?

Supposedly the Enlightenment and Age of Reason were supposed to put us past this, but they haven’t.  I’m not going to bother to go into the reasons for that, but I will say that social media obviously fuels this polarization and dichotomy of us vs them.

For some people, they aren’t just content to “de-friend” and dehumanize you, they also believe you need to lose your job, be unable to pay your mortgage, and ensure you are out on the streets. Your family who you support financially? They don’t give a shit.

I’ve been an advocate of fighting fire with fire – specifically those people who threaten to or go after people’s jobs.  However, with finances being tight for myself and with me being the sole provider for my wife and two sons, it’s hard for me to imagine attempting similar retribution to someone, even if they were the aggressors in trying to get me or people with whom I hold similar views with fired.

At some point, we have to draw the line as to how far one should go in a polite and civilized society – while it still barely remains one.

To all you activists out there, regardless of your stripe and creed, how far are you willing to go?

I don’t consider activism, political stances or worldview to be this ever constricting bubble where you dwell permanently, but if your entire life and purpose is based on “activism”, where else do you go to seek your identity? To seek who you are?

Seriously, consider that so many ardent screaming activists are often far removed from the situations and people they express outrage about.  Do those who scream about gun control the loudest with the biggest platforms live in Baltimore in the ghetto?  Often they don’t.

So many people say they want “diversity”, but it seems we pervaded by a culture that encourages us not to have friends or to cut them loose if they won’t come to similar views as ourselves.  Diversity indeed.

Those same people are then shocked when they exit their bubble and briefly enter another where very different views are held.  You’d think they’d embrace that diversity, but often they just point, shriek, and scream “HERETIC!”   Often, that’s where the mutual conversation ends and the pitchforks and torches begin.

Is this really how any of us want to live?  Where we can’t separate someone from their politics or opinions?  I certainly don’t, but I fear far too many do.

Are The Residents Of A Shithole Nation Responsible For It Being A Shithole?

It's hard to argue this is not a shithole.

“Appalachia’s idea of a moderate drinker was the mountain man who limited himself to a single quart [of whiskey] at a sitting, explaining that more ‘might fly to my head’. Other beverages were regarded with contempt.”

Do we get the governments we so richly deserve? Are the people of a nation just as responsible for it’s path as it’s government?  These are sobering questions, if not harsh one’s about a people’s morality and culture.  This is the main thrust of the this post.

The racy racism shitstorm we’ve been hearing about in full blast is of curious nature.  For all the “racism”, I am left to wonder what it actually has to do about “race” and how exactly Trump is wrong here.   Seriously.   We all knew Trump was lude, rude, and crude and plenty of us backward fundamentalist bigots really do appreciate it.

Andrew Klavan makes this point effectively in an article for City Journal, “Of Crudeness and Truth” in his own version of a revolutionary act in today’s culture.

“Let’s state the obvious. Some countries are shitholes. To claim that this is racist is racist. They are not shitholes because of the color of the populace but because of bad ideas, corrupt governance, false religion, and broken culture. Further, most of the problems in these countries are generated at the top. Plenty of rank-and-file immigrants from such ruined venues ultimately make good Americans—witness those who came from 1840s potato-famine Ireland, a shithole if ever there was one! It takes caution and skill to separate the good from the bad.”

But let’s go for a moment back to that race angle that these people love to obsess and bloviate over.   Africa isn’t a “Race”.  Neither are Africans. Why do people always assume its about race? Sure, some people might think “Black!” when they think of Africa, but there’s a hell of a difference between Bantus and Egyptians or Moroccans.

African’s don’t even think of themselves as “Black”.  That’s an american thing, and American blacks have literally nothing in common with Africans except for things for their skin color and some susceptibilities to medical conditions.

Hell, the Bantus have more in common DNA wise with Europeans then they do with the Bushman (KhoiSan) that the Bantus displaced and destroyed in South Africa.  Even similar skin color doesn’t equate to being the same race in Africa or being viewed as such.

I’ll back that up.  In Ghana, people who aren’t actual “Africans” are considered white. If you were black, brown, or whatever else and went there, they would consider you a white foreigner. That’s just how they see it.  Per the New York Times:

“Many African-Americans who visit Africa are shocked to find that Africans treat them – even refer to them – the same as white tourists. In Ghana, the term “obruni,” or “white foreigner,” is applied to all foreigners regardless of skin color.

To African-Americans who come here seeking their roots, the term is a shocking sign of the chasm between Africans and African-Americans. Though they who share a legacy stained slavery, they experience it entirely differently.

“It is a shock for any black person to be called white,” said Mann, who moved here two years ago. “But it is really tough to hear it when you come with your heart to seek your roots in Africa.”

Yes the continent is quite diversified, but across much of it you see the same vicious internal corruption to the point of destabilizing and ensuring poverty for a majority of the populations of said countries/regions in Africa. It seems to even transcend region ranging from South Africa all the way up to Libya. It’s a way of life to the point that an estimated 75 million people have to pay bribes annually.

I’m not exaggerating how bad it can be in countries on the continent. Consider Nigeria through the lens of Aussie Tim Newman who lived in Lagos there working for 3 years.  The level of corruption there is staggering to the point where it’s woven into every day life as if nothing else is expected.   I’ll quote a large portion:

There is no getting away from the fact that corruption in Nigeria has infested almost every aspect of life, work, and society.  I can’t think of a single area where I didn’t encounter a scam of some sort.  Some of them were pretty normal – policemen hassling motorists for bribes, for example – with others being less common elsewhere.  Filling brand named alcohol bottles with local hooch was widespread practice.  Not so bad in itself, but these were being sold through supposedly legitimate suppliers and turning up in established bars.  Others were unique to Nigeria.

I knew a guy in charge of oil shipments for a foreign oil company who received a call from somebody in the authorities saying he was not going to release the multi-million dollar cargo until somebody had bought his cousin $10 worth of phone credit.  My acquaintance found himself going to the shop, buying a phone card, and handing it over to some scruffy bloke who showed up at his office in order to allow his crude oil out of the country.

The corruption, theft, and graft can take many forms: falsifying a CV (I don’t mean enhancing, I mean pretending you’re a Lead Piping Engineer of 12 years experience when actually, until yesterday, you were a fisherman); selling positions in a company; stealing diesel from the storage tanks you’re paid to protect; issuance of false material certificates; impersonating an immigration officer to access an office, from which you then tap up the people within to fund your latest venture; selling land which isn’t yours; deliberately running down the country’s refining capacity in order to partake in the lucrative import of fuels; falsifying delivery notes of said refined fuels in order to receive greater government subsidies; deliberately restricting the country’s power generation capacity in order to benefit from the importation of generators (which must be run on imported fuel); theft of half-eaten sandwiches and opened drink containers from the office fridge; tinkering with fuel gauges at petrol stations to sell customers short; conspiring with company drivers to issue false receipts indicating more fuel was supplied than actually was; supplying counterfeit safety equipment; falsifying certificates related to professional competence (e.g. rope access work); paying employees less than stipulated in their contract (or not at all); cloning satellite TV cards, meaning the legitimate user gets their service cut off when the other card is in use (the cards are cloned by the same people who issue the genuine cards); the list is literally endless.  There is no beginning or end to corruption in Nigeria, it is a permanent fixture.

Nepotism is rife: family members are employed and promoted before anyone else.  Outright theft is rife: from a pen lying on a desk, to billions from the state coffers. Dishonesty is rife: from the state governors to the street urchin, lying to enrich yourself is the norm.  You name the scam, it is being done in Nigeria.  Eventually, nothing surprises you.

As I said before, you’ll find such practices everywhere, but to nowhere near the extent found in Nigeria.

Apparently it wasn’t always like this.  There was a time, probably from around the 1970s to 1990s, when Nigeria had a reasonably diverse economy.  Besides the oil and gas, they had agriculture, manufacturing and assembly (Peugeot set up an assembly plant in Nigeria in the mid-1970s), brewing (there is a both a Guinness and a Heineken brewery), refining, construction, and pharmaceuticals.  Some of these survive today.  There were decent universities, and students wishing to graduate had to apply themselves.  Security wasn’t much of a concern to the average citizen.

I don’t know the details, but at some point in the 1990s one of the military dictators decided to flood the place with oil money in order to buy support.  This had the effect of drowning every other form of enterprise and ensuring that oil and gas was the only game in town.  This is bad in itself, but by no means unique to Nigeria.

What was worse is that this quickly instilled a mentality across Nigeria that there was a lot of money up for grabs, and getting your hands on it wasn’t in any way related to honest efforts or applying yourself to something constructive.  Nigeria became a place where if you’re not getting your hands on some of the oil money, either directly or indirectly, then you’re going nowhere.

With oil money washing over the whole country like a tidal wave, soon everyone was trying to secure their own piece of the action, using fair means or foul.  Imagine throwing a huge box of sweets into a playgroup shouting “Grab what you can!”, and the chaos that ensues will be similar to what happened to Nigeria on a national scale.

At least, this is what I gather happened – I may be wrong – but for sure, the current situation reflects what I’ve described.  The economy is funded almost exclusively from oil and gas revenues, and everything else is merely feeding off that.  The new hotels in Lagos, the growth of capital city of Abuja, the importation of luxury goods, the Audi and Porsche dealerships, the sky-rocketting real estate prices, the money earmarked for infrastructure projects, the increase in flight passengers, all of it is directly or indirectly linked to the oil money.

Okay, maybe there is some hyperbole in there.  Agriculture still makes up the lion’s share of GDP, and the services sector is booming.  Advertising is a big industry in Lagos, although the most common thing you see advertised is advertising space.  But nobody is going to get anywhere herding cattle, picking pineapples, or working in a sawmill.  Even the owners won’t be earning that much, not if that’s their only income.  There is very little opportunity to get rich, or even advance, unless you are somehow connected to the supply of oil money.

One of the results of this national free-for-all is the formation of groups, societies, associations, and unions whose raison d’être is to obtain as much money and benefits for their members as possible.  This isn’t much different from Europe in respect of trade unions, but groups and subgroups form at micro-levels with sometimes comical precision.

The Lagos Association of Road Maintenance Engineers, Roundabout and Lay-by Division, 4th Department.  The Nigerian Association of Water Truck Drivers, Lagos Chapter.  Membership of one or more of these associations is both essential and compulsory: essential because an individual would get trampled very quickly in the general melee of Nigeria, and compulsory in the sense that you have almost no chance of being allowed to quietly ply your trade without paying dues to some group or other.  It’s not clear what the legal standing of a lot of these groups is, but it’s often hard to tell how they differ from a standard extortion racket.

One of the most powerful unions in Lagos, the transport union, used to shake down any okada (motorcycle taxi) driver passing through their checkpoints, claiming the money was used “to protect them from the police”.  I doubt the money was used in such a manner, but people do need protection from the police in Lagos.  Not that the okada drivers had any say in the matter: membership was automatic, and the union muscle would beat any non-compliant driver or confiscate his vehicle.  The power of the oil and gas workers unions is legendary, ensuring their members enjoy pay and benefits which are the highest of any local staff in the world, and often outstrip those of the expatriates.

It may not entirely be their own doing if you consider the effects of colonialism, but awful tragic reality is still reality and the corruption during colonial times has continued with the current governments and elites.

You can’t say that same level of corruption with that same vicious impact exists on the same level across the other continents.  Or about the economic tax dollars that someone from Norway or a first world nation will bring compared to someone from a 3rd world country.

So shift focus for a moment. When it comes to facts, it matters the messenger, but the message, Haiti is for the most part a shithole. Imagine Bernie or some you like said it instead. They would be correct. Seriously ask people from Haiti who have immigrated here about what they think of it and see what they say.

Guess where all the recovery money they got from the hurricane went? Not to the people there. So are many countries in Africa that are devastated and relegated to third world status because of the corruption there thats innate to their cultures.

“But those places where refugees are fleeing from aren’t shitholes!” That’s quite delicious irony considering that you can’t suggest the refugees go back to those now non shithole countries because it’s too dangerous and simply speaking… a shithole that they don’t want to go back to. I don’t blame them.

That’s not even taking into account the brain drain, where most of their best people have moved here or to First world nations.   It kind of sad for those left behind.

Magic Dirt And Mass Immigration

People bring their cultures with them and corruption is one that’s innate to those cultures.   They don’t just magically become firm advocates and believers of democracy, tolerance, free speech, and dare I say, feminism.  Seriously, go ask the Somalis in Minnesota what they think about feminism. Yet still, the magic dirt theory prevails.

Again, people bring their worldviews and cultures with them. They don’t just happen to adapt the worldviews, cultures, and societal cohesion that people who’ve been living here for several generations or even just a few that make our government and society’s corruption less destabilizing then theirs.

Take into account when the Irish immigrated to American enmasse.  They brought their views and local organizational mindset to the big cities and utterly changed them.   Just as the communities helped provide for themselves under the struggle of English rule, they did the same for their fellow Irishmen making sure they got jobs in the right places of power.

We know it today as machine politics when we think of urban cities like Chicago or New York. Big city machine corruption in politics came with them. It eventually became so intertwined in American politics that people don’t even see it as Irish.  Now the Irish assimilated over time, but it didn’t happen in one or even two generations.

Even after assimilation, ethnic backgrounds and immigrants homelands still have implications and influences that we still see today.  There’s a reason that people in the Appalachians chose to live there specifically as well as the drug problems that plague it now, just as there is for those in Virginia, New England, or the South.

(Even more shocking you’ll realize why people from New England look down on people from the Appalachians known also as Borderers of Scottish and Irish roots – an attitude that’s existed since the country was founded.)

What’s happening with immigrants today from places like Africa? While they are better off here then where they came from, assimilation hasn’t quite occurred.   Again, we don’t know exactly how long it may take them to assimilate, but it’s a far different time now then it was 100 years ago with the attitude toward actual assimilation a point many on the Dissident Right have been wisely hammering.

That’s not to mention that many immigrants who came over before 1900 already had some cultural similarities to the “native” population in the US.

Instead of doing everything possible to get immigrants to adapt and to become American, we encourage “diversity.”  Instead of encouraging them to learn English, we provide translators both in the private and public sector allowing first generation immigrants to not bother with learning English – which is key if they want to succeed.

Sure, their kids will most likely learn it in the schools, but these kids are a huge disadvantage to succeed because their parents can’t help them with even basic homework.  If they can’t, and struggle in school or to find a job in a crowded minimum wage entry level job where they can be replaced easily with another cog in the machine, what do you think they will do?   Crime, drugs, etc are often the easy and logical next step.  Sad, but true.

Now the Churches of many immigrants provided a network of support. The same can be said of much of the Black population in the US as well. But they have limited resources and can only handle so many people.  It’s obvious it’s already overstretched.

In fact, local zoning laws prevent Churches from even offering basic things such as housing at the Churches themselves.  There are reasons for this, but the end result is still the same.

Yet, you have recent columns from guys like Bret Stephens at the NYT which promote the “benefits” of mass immigration, while ignoring the negatives and labeling those who point them out as “ists”, “isms”, and “phobes.”

“Also obvious is that immigrants don’t steal jobs. They fill jobs Americans won’t do or create those that haven’t been invented. They don’t bring crime to cities. They drive out crime by starting businesses and families in shrinking cities or underserved neighborhoods. They don’t undermine American culture. They feedenrich and reinvent it, not least through their educational ambitions for themselves and their children.”

Now he might have a point on crime, but what about the rest of it? For example we see evidence to the contrary in history when it came to immigrants vs native population and their propensity to commit violent crimes, or the noted impact of it in places like the UK.  Filling jobs Americans won’t take?

Live in a poor urban neighborhood and you’d be shocked at the jobs people will take if only those jobs existed – or weren’t filled by newer immigrants willing to do demanding work for less wages than a native worker.  I suppose that’s the competitive market place for you, but a consequence of that is driving down wages, not to mention what it’s already done to Union and organized labor power in the US.

Consider what might happen if people with antithetical views to American culture – whatever that looks like in your area of the country – settle in mass where you live. Imagine California suddenly taking in a lot of Somali immigrants who don’t hold kindly to the idea of LGBTQ rights. Suddenly it becomes a problem for them there if those immigrants don’t assimilate in terms of worldview.

Vulgar But True

Now on the topic of “shithole” it might be a harsh way to put it, but would putting it in other more “polite” words lessen the impact or change the fundamental issue for him or others on the subject?

Would people freak out this much if someone else said it? At this point I as well as many others in the Dissident Right are convinced people who loathe Trump will simply take anything he says and attribute the worst possible meaning and implications to it.

Sure, if actual refugees want to come and escape that, then let’s make sure they have views that arent in total opposition to the current citizens here. That there is as far as I’ll go for now in this post.

Instead of this diversity nonsense, we need to curb the amount of immigrants who come to the US with worldviews who have little compatibility with the people here.

Doesn’t matter how much people scream about racism. These are all places you don’t want to live. Most of the people there don’t. It’s why they keep trying to come over to the Europe or the US. India is a bit restrictive with their immigration and the Chinese and Japanese don’t let foreigners become citizens.

I’m not from an African country. Or from Haiti. I don’t have any skin in this game. Of course I won’t be offended.  Well, I’ll imagine it was slight instead directed against my mother’s side of the family who came from Armenia.

Would I take offense if Trump or anyone else labeled one of my ancestral homelands a shithole?  Well, the truth hurts, but I’ll state it regardless. Take Armenia where my mothers side is from.

Parts of Armenia are a shithole – though I would point out much of it is not our fault. (Hell, there is a reason the “Armenian mobster/mafia” stereotype exists.) Much of the Middle East is for many reasons. Is it the fault of the people there? Yes and no. (Border war over territory, conquest by neighbors and empires over the millenia, etc.) I suppose the same point could be made for “shithole” countries.

Countries that aren’t shitholes surprisingly? China, Japan, India and many parts of Asia. Surprising, considering Mongol conquest and devastation. (I’m thinking of countries not traditionally considered to be part of the West, though you could still argue some places in Eastern Europe and Southern Italy are indeed shitholes.) I consider there to be quite a few variances in shitholes including the US.

To sum it all up; there’s consequences to immigration and we need to think about them, not ignore them.

PS:  I propose a new drinking game. Every time Don Lemon says the word “racist” or “racism” on CNN, take a shot.  You should be plastered and literally floored in a matter of hours. Alas, I digress.

The Alt-Right Failed To Purge The Nazis And Now It’s Too Late

Charlottesville has been all over the news for the last few days and it’s big. It’s been on almost every Facebook feed expanding to people who aren’t even very political.  A common theme emerges.  The  Alt-Right = Nazis.  All those Nazi Larpers in the background with their swastikas, armbands, seig heils, and all of that nonsense have tainted what the alt-right could have been; what it should have been.

At this point, the Nazis and the “lulz” trolls can have the label.  Perhaps critics were right all along and Spencer’s supposed claim to the label ensured it was doomed from the start.

We’ve been trying to highlight for ages how vicious and dangerous AntiFa is. While they haven’t killed anyone and it’s probably a matter of time, some demented mentally instable nazi wannabe did.  He deliberately murdered a woman with his car in ISIS fashion.  That’s all people see, and it’s all they will see.

They wont see the vicious AntiFa violence there. They won’t see how the VPD not only stood down, but deliberately herded the “UniteTheRight” protesters into the path of AntiFa.  Sure enough, the police would vanish and leave the two groups to fight it out Gangs Of New York style.  This alone implicates that the authorities in heavily urban democratic cities are essentially cooperating with AntiFa.

Instead of seeing any of this, people see what was obvious – actual Nazis throwing up salutes, chanting “blood and soil”, and the works.   How can any sane person look past actual Nazi flags and not associate who ever else was there with being a Nazi.  Instead of kicking them out, you let them in.

We on the dissident right wanted so badly for the Alt-Right to become something. Now it’s done.  I associated myself with the Alt-Right for a time because I thought the Nazi Larpers were a small minority, just like the AntiFa are with the progressives.  I was wrong.  I’m not interested in denouncing them, just as the left isn’t going to denounce AntiFa. However, I can’t associate myself with them.

I enjoyed their trolling, the hillarious memes, and even chuckled at those terrible jokes that triggered the easily offended progressives to the point of Hillary herself reading them to a national audience. They were the new 1950s conservatives and we were the rebellion.   “It was the left’s turn for their sacred cows to be violated!”, we told ourselves.   We were the new anti-establishment. But that’s all we were.

What The Hell Have We Been Doing?

Rebels. With barely an articulate cause, because the “normies” weren’t worthy of wasting time for our glorious explanation.  That’s what the 1488 Larpers insisted in their glorious socialism.  We all thought they were just in it for the “lulz”.

Wasn’t building white identity supposed to be about building one that isn’t based purely on opposition and hate?  Instead they memed and kept whining about how their aren’t enough white babies, all the while refusing to bother to even take the first steps to attempt to create a family.

Yes, we have been saying that demographics is destiny. It is.  We must outbreed the left who keeps murdering their babies in the womb. Encourage the feminists to keep doing it.  Yet you ignored core strategy and the public schools indoctrinating the kids we do have.   Instead of throwing your weight behind men like Vox Day who are creating alternate platforms, you rallied to Spencer who has been a disaster for the alt-right every damn time.

You ripped on the men who actually tried to create families by marrying women from overseas for their horrid race mixing while you jerked off in your damn basements.   You stomped on Christendom and called for a return to paganism, ignoring the fact Christianity is what built European identity and made it great.   Well, you can have your weird cultish occult symbols.  That’s surely and identity that we need.

Their irony turned into sincerity as Common Filth pointed out.   It was with a horrid shock that we realized they actually believed all these things. They really did loathe blacks, jews, and minorities to the point of revulsion.  The hate had consumed them, their glorious Nazi identity and white identity based almost completely on opposition to others who were to be blamed.

Kind good hard-working immigrants don’t exist in their world. Diversity regardless of the reason is always terrible.  Hispanics are all criminals. My personal experience working and being close with them and seeing how many good people there are were all anomalies.  Yea okay.

Let’s get real here.   I have mixed race family, and I’m not just talking about my moms side and our Armenian halves.  My half-white/half-black cousins are twice the people than any of these Nazis and White Nationalists are. If push comes to shove, their well-being is my priority.  How’s that for punching right? How does it feel after you shits punching right every damn day about how we didn’t blame the jews enough or were too cuckish?

Instead of pushing truth, beauty, goodness, and the christian roots which made Western civilization, we ignored the Nazis as best we could.  It’s now to our detriment.  They were never the alt-right.  But with one protest that accomplished nothing, they took the label and burned it like the KKK did a cross.

Dickey Spencer claims victory while Baked Alaska may never see again and Heather is now dead.  Antifa or not, she’s dead.  Alex Fields who hit her, scared or not, will be raped in prison.  Lives have been lost and ruined for Spencer to have his “leadership” moment.   Forget the label. He can have it.

We Should Have Been Bold

It should be OBVIOUS that any movement that doesn’t purge Nazis is a non-starter. No sane person will have anything to do with it, let alone should.  Instead of that purge, interlopers in the Alt-right decided that somehow “Nazis” were on the right.  Somehow, someway those in the Alt-right actually believed the leftists propaganda of the last 50 years that “Nazis” are somehow right-wing.

You know, despite all the totalitarian and authoritarian positions that are held by many leftists today.  Jonah Goldberg made this point abundant in “Liberal Fascism“, but they couldn’t be bothered with it because he’s a jew.   We aren’t punching right. The Alt-Reichtards were never “right” to begin with.  Just because AntiFa is their enemy didn’t mean they were our ally.

What many of us failed to realize – myself included – was that many on the alt-right, particularly the White Nationalists, didn’t have any actual “identity” besides opposition to SJWs, BLM, feminists, progressives, etc.   Yes, we all didn’t like how “white” had become a pejorative and that white people shouldnt be ashamed or need to check their privilege.  This came from mixed race people like myself.  That should have been the sign.

As the Z Man pointed out,

Put another way, if being pro-white is only going to mean anti-black or anti-Jew or anti-Asian, then it is never going to be a useful identity group. It’s just going to be the nullification of other identity groups. That’s not a movement with a future, because it’s definition lies outside its control. It’s why feminism is curdling into a home for barren spinsters. It’s just a list of grievances. In order to avoid that fate, white identity is going to have to be a positive identity that defines itself, independent of the rest of the world.”

This is what the movement has turned into.  Constant blaming of Jews, Blacks, and every other group under the sun.  Those racial purists couldn’t even realize that not only do historical demographics constantly change – like they always have, but that it’s changing right now.  George Zimmerman was labeled a “White Hispanic.”

Articles are being published by crazed feminists about how lighter POC need to check their privilege or else they risk becoming white.  It probably won’t be long until mixed race individuals are thrown into the category.  (Remember that the Irish, Italians, Greeks, etc weren’t considered white until the 20th century.)

Despite this, they decided it had to be the core tenant. Insanity. Then the White Nationalists among us decided that Nazis were somehow acceptable, even though the Nazis historically didn’t mind killing and trying to subjugate the Greeks, French, Slavs, and Russians.   They weren’t even about bloody white supremacy!

Western European identity has been dying. Instead of figuring out why, blame was placed solely on blacks, jews, and all those other marginalized groups instead of where it should be: the heretical French Enlightement and the secularists that destroyed the foundations and burned the roots of what made Europe great.

Seriously, ask yourself? What is actually left preserving in Europe. A new identity will be born, but it won’t be one that can’t exist without other groups around to blame to fuel it’s existence. Christendom which built Europe is already being rebuilt in Africa and South America.

While you’ve been raving and ranting about their IQs, Christianity has been transforming the area. There are already more Anglicans in Africa, than in the rest of the world. The next pope will be African.  But no, you couldn’t get past the racial element.

Yes, we were with you for limiting immigration, securing the borders, diminishing the destruction wrought by globalists elites, bankers, and self serving corporations. We were with you in the fight to stop the feminist annihilation of the relationship between the genders and the nonsensical victim crying of social justice.   We were with you to fight back against political correctness.

We even tolerated Spencer’s vicious attacks and disdain of Christianity while ignoring the insanity of a “white ethnostate” in the US.  We sympathized with the vicious attacks wrought upon people branded “white” on a daily basis by progressives.  I will teach my sons (75%) white to be proud of their heritage, who they, and to never apologize for any actions of their ancestors.   I will however teach them the difference between Nazis and pride in who they are – something you couldn’t do.

But you had to let the Nazis larp with you.   Well, enjoy your label.  The people going out there to punch Nazis certainly will.  The label is toxic because you let it become so.

Signed a saddened member of the Dissident Right.

Remember My Armenian Ancestors By Never Giving Up Your Weapons

Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians? – Adolf Hitler

In 1911 The Turks passed a national gun registration law with no apparent malicious intentions  beyond increasing public safety – an argument we’ve heard before. When the  Armenian genocide began in 1915, these gun registration lists were used to disarm the Armenian and other Christian populations.  When they came to slaughter us, we were helpless.

“Turkish Army battalions cordoned off entire towns and villages and did gun sweeps. Once disarmed, the official state violence visited against the Armenians ratcheted up to murderous levels. Typically, on town-wide sweeps, all of the men and boys were taken away by the Turkish soldiers, never to be seen or heard from again.”

We have no Auschwitz. No memorial exists for us.  Mention of the genocide is illegal and can get you shot in Turkey who deny it took place. They back Armenia’s enemies throughout the region, ensuring it’s isolation is complete. Iran is neutral without any intention of backup. We remain a diaspora of survivors scattered through the world.

Even those of us who remain in our homelands of thousands of years that were conquered by the Ottoman and Seljuk Turks and now make up modern Turkey are at risk of losing everything again. Our Muslim neighbors will desire to finish their conquest.   It will never stop haunting us.

A few years ago, Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, threatened to “deport” the remaining Armenian citizens in Turkey. Last year, he called “allegations” that he had Armenian blood “ugly,” insisting he was a “purebred Turk.”

With a mere scoop of your hand you can find our remains, bones, and skulls in the Der Zor desert.  For Armenians who make the journey, it’s a painful one.  To this day, most of us can’t trace our family histories.  The Turks destroyed our churches where we kept our records of marriages and family tree – usually the first step when you want to remove the history of a people from the earth.

“My heart is like shattered homes and broken pillars thrown asunder . . . Wild birds will nest in our ruins . . . Let me throw myself into the water and be food for the fish’s babies . . . White waves lap upon the black sea about us and do not mix . . . In this melancholic, bewildered state, what can my darkened heart do?”   Lyrics translated by Armen Babamian from “Homeless” (Andouni), composed by Gomidas Vartabed in honor of Armenians broken and exiled by the Genocide

IF you want to remember and learn from the Armenian Genocide, make sure you are never fooled into supporting gun control, no matter the excuse.  You might be a protected class today, but tomorrow could hold you a criminal.  There was no one to come to our aid during the genocide.  Reports and coverage were suppressed as much as possible by The Young Turks, thus most of our destruction had already been completed by the end of World War One.  It wouldn’t just be us.

It happened to the Greeks, the Assyrians, the Copts, and countless others in the Middle East and Anatolia.  Islam became a unifying factor in those who wished for our genocide. Promises of virgins for those who killed Armenians in the name of Allah were given.  A headline from 1915 shouted the following, “The caliphate wages jihad against Christians. Victims are beheaded, crucified, and burned alive. Christian girls are sold into slavery. Centuries-old monuments are destroyed by jihadis.”

Of all the peoples of Christendom, our suffering and slaughter may be the worst, though the Greeks, Copts, Assyrians, Syrian Orthodox, Chaldeans, Lebanese, and other peoples of the middle east and northern Mesopotamia have suffered over the centuries under Islamic rule.  Of course we haven’t forgotten how the people of Balkans fared under their Ottoman rulers.  Even the local Muslims of the area lent their hand to murdering the Christians around them:

The degree of extermination and the brutality of the massacres indicate extreme pent-up hatred on the popular level. Christians, the so-called gawur [also giaour or ghiaour] infidels, were killed in almost all sorts of situations. They were collected at the local town hall, walking in the streets, fleeing on the roads, at harvest, in the villages, in the caves and tunnels, in the caravanserais [an inn with a central courtyard], in the prisons, under torture, on the river rafts, on road repair gangs, on the way to be put on trial. There was no specific and technological way of carrying out the murders like the Nazis’ extermination camps. A common feature was those killed were unarmed, tied up, or otherwise defenseless.

All possible methods of killing were used: shooting, stabbing, stoning, crushing, throat cutting, throwing off of roofs, drowning, decapitation. Witnesses talk of seeing collections of ears and noses and of brigands boasting of their collections of female body parts. The perpetrators not only killed but humiliated the victimsIn several instances, decapitated heads of well-known Christians, such as Hanne Safar of Midyat and Ibrahim the Syriac priest of Sa’irt were used as footballsIn Derike, the Syriac Catholic priest Ibrahim Qrom had his beard torn off and was then forced to crawl on all fours with a tormentor on his back, while others kicked him, stabbed him, and finally cut him to pieces.

Virtually every deportation caravan and village massacre was accompanied by serial mass rape of the women. Young girls were abducted as sex slaves and children as household servants. Even when they were not killed outright, the women were often stripped of their clothes. The homes of Christians were broken into, plundered, furniture smashed, windows, and doors removed, set on fire. Sometimes a survivor had little to return home to.

The number of perpetrators of the local massacres was staggering. Apparently the local officials….or the local politicians…had no difficulty in motivating the populace for extermination. The officials established death squads from middle-aged Muslim men. National Assembly deputies…agitated among the Kurdish tribes and even managed to get notorious outlaws…to cooperate in return for loot, adventure, and a promise of amnesty. On a few occasions, Muslim women were present, for instance…at the public humiliation of Christian dignitaries, but mostly the perpetrators were males. There were literally thousands of perpetrators, most of them locals.

Left to rot after being slaughtered

Most people never learn from history, if they know it at all.  Countless times governments, conquerors, and masters have taken away the weapons of a people. What usually followed was slaughter, massacres, and genocide with little resistance.   Still the buzzword sleazy calls for  “reasonable common sense gun control” rain down from incel politicians, CEOs, and elites with armed bodyguards who are clearly more important the rest of us.

If only they knew how it felt to be disarmed and defenseless. If it were their entire families being subjected to genocide, surely they wouldn’t make the usual excuses for gun control we hear from Elizabeth Warren, Al Franken, and many other progressive US politicians.

“It couldn’t happen here!”  Many a people have heard that before.

An attempt to tell this story was finally brought to the big screen this April via a movie called, “The Promise“. Of course detractors rose to 1 star the movie on a massive scale.  Upon the initial three screenings, 70k+ reviews – impossible when you consider the limitations of seating – were posted on IMDB.   The Turks still are gunning for us even online

“All I know is that we were in about a 900-seat house with a real ovation at the end, and then you see almost 100,000 people who claim the movie isn’t any good,”

How many more fucking people have to be slaughtered after being disarmed till we take the lesson to heart?  I am forced to consider those who support radical gun control measures – regardless of reason or excuse – with the same potential level of threat that the Turks behind the 1915 genocide wrought upon us.

My Armenian ancestors who were disarmed, disposed, and then sent into deserts to die when they weren’t slaughtered enmasse in their villages and on the way to death are yet again forgotten.  In fact, their slaughter is still a point of great contention and denial to the Turks and Azerbaijanis who stole our land, subjugated, and conquered us many times over just the last 500 years. (Note, Azerbaijan was even a country until 1918.)

The US is still afraid to press the issue as it won’t risk losing Turkey as a Nato ally. Yet again, our Armenian people catch the bad end of geographic diplomacy, not to mention an actual border war still being fought with Azerbaijan over land that has been ours for a thousand years. Again, we are isolated with no assured backup.

“Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey’s president, publicly vowed on Sunday to support Azerbaijan “to the end”. Turkey has no diplomatic relations with Armenia, a rift dating back to the mass killings of Armenians by Turks towards the close of the Ottoman period. Erdoğan is also at daggers drawn with Russia over its support for the Syrian regime and Turkey’s shooting down last autumn of a Russian combat plane but he is unlikely to intervene militarily.”

Still, we are resourceful people determined to survive. My great grandfather Tarpinian made his way to the US.  He began a family when he saw a picture of my great grandmother in an orphanage where she had been saved from rape and death by the Turks.  Upon seeing this picture he sent her letters and eventually a wedding dress.  They would be married with few possessions, but love and a determination to survive and live for those had been killed in the genocide.

My great grandmother actually came over illegally.  She entered the US via Buffalo, New York from Canada.   Four generations later, our family is all over the states and we are assimilated Americans who love our heritage and people, but are loyal to this country which gave us hope, safety, and a reason to live.

I am a 4th generation descendant. Half-Armenian and a mix of other European heritage.   If there’s anything I’ve learned from the history of both sides of my family, its that government can not be trusted to necessarily protect us, let alone slaughter us.  You never know when your enemy will take the reigns of power.

While the old government may have been neutral, if you have been disarmed of your rights and your weapons, you are at a great risk.  Never again. I will repeat it;  I am forced to consider those who support radical gun control measures with the same potential level of threat that the 1915 genocide wrought upon us.

Supporters of gun control mean well.  History however never does when it comes to the victims.  Don’t let yourself even become a potential victim. Learn from our genocide.  At the very least, targeted groups in the future will stand a chance of defending themselves and their family.  Just look at what insurgents have done in Iraq and Afghanistan have done with Ak-47s.

Why They Insist That PewDiePie Is Dangerous For Your Children

“Anti-Semite!” – Walter Sobchak after smashing a Nihilist with a bowling ball.

We Believe In Nothing Lebowski

Who is PewDiePie and why should old gisers like yourself desire to waste time to find out?   Good question greybeards.

First some context: My younger cousins don’t know who most actors are, but they are familiar with and follow many a YouTuber. They even watched the YouTube awards show. Ask many in generation Z and you’ll notice they spend a lot of time on there – far more than they do watching anything on cable or TV.

Everything from videos on how to change your brakes and WorldStar fight compilations to commentary, reaction videos, and educational material. It’s all there – a STAGGERING amount.  YouTube averages a billion views a day on it’s platform.

This includes all those terrible offensive videos ranging from crimethink  to “inappropriate pranks”, skeptics gone wild, and “questionable content” that hasn’t been screened by the people used to controlling what your kids want through Apple Jacks cereal commercials on Cartoon Network.

It’s gone from the evolution of dance and cute cat videos to popular game commentators and personalities making “unacceptable” jokes and voicing their views on immigration and demographic subjects.  Places like the WSJ, WP, NYT, ect don’t like this because they can’t compete with an uncensored YouTube personality.

It is precisely WHY PewDiePie MATTERS.

PewDiePie is the biggest YouTuber in the world, and he’s made 10s of millions of high pitched noises, childish banter, and LetsPlays.   Kids love him.  He speaks their language – something which is VERY IMPORTANT, and we will touch on later.

This horrible anti-semite’s channel has evolved to a slightly darker sense of humor, pranking, and poking fun at groups that you can’t criticize normally.

His audience however is still young – elementary/highschool age on average – and keeps growing.  For all intensive purposes he was untouchable because of big he is.  Perhaps that fact is why he was pegged for demotion with a classic coup de grace of “Anti Semitism“.  His audience knows hes not an anti-Semite, but their parents who are the real targets will be worried about the label nonetheless.

This hat probably got a few in the media gunning for him.

Normally, bad jewish jokes told drunkenly at parties might land you some hard stares if told poorly, but that’s it.  Pew though is influencing the minds of vulnerable children – who need to be indoctrinated by easily controlled sources of regular media.   YouTube is obviously not that.

Now several weeks back, PewDiePie became touchable. He crossed the Rubicon of. Despite being edgy saying nigger a bunch of times in the past, no one cared until he hired  two Indian dudes off Fiverr to hold  up a “Death to all Jews” sign on video sign to prove people will do ANYTHING  for five dollars.

Not only was he right, people were fuming because of it, the irony and humor lost on their Puritan asses.  This lot included people with clout.

They struck him down like David did Goliath.  Mainstream press outlets sizzled with rage.  Disney freaked.  Outrage was spewed by critics no one has heard of before.  Or at least they thought they did.

YouTube cancelled premium relations with him.  Media outlets screamed about his terrible influence on the impressionable young.  Nazism was apparently on the rise!

Discerning eyes should notice that his supposed anti-Semitism – which is laughable if you’ve watched PewDiePie – is merely an excuse to go after him with what his detractors think would stick to him best.    This wasn’t his first sin against the new polite rules of elite global society.  It was the sin however which convinced them Pew’s influence needed to be scaled-back as he couldn’t be controlled.

I’m not mincing words here.  Pew has more subscribers than most of the major TV and media networks do on YouTube do combined.  The age of his audience is highly desired by the predatory networks and their big bucks advertisers who are desperate to convince these kids they need more nerf guns, Ipads, and junk food bellies to ensure big pharma can sell them weight loss drugs in their obese futures.

Suffice to say, powerful influential semites everywhere weren’t impressed – specifically the one’s behind the curtain we hear alot of conspiracy theories about.  I’m not big on Jew bashing, but some questions should be raised.  PewDiePie was forced to apologize in a video, but he came back swinging labeling it a media hit job.

1. Perhaps mainstream outlets view his HUGE alternative platform as a threat, so they were just looking for the right time – in the case of the WSJ.

What’s happened to him recently is an all out assassination in which he rightfully blames the media.  Predictably, they haven’t been happy about it or his accusations that they are after because he’s bigger than most of the outlets doing the smears.  Right here is one of the first real fights between “Alternative” media and that of the established outlets

2. Was getting too bold in pranks.   Many of his detractors were worried about his videos and “jokes” being a gateway to the great white boogeymen shitposters that populate the underwebs. Sweet gullible kids would somehow be lured into supporting “White Supremacy” a.k.a. anything that doesn’t view white people as the devil and cause of all evil via his jokes cushioned by his loveable aloof personality.

3.  “Jew jokes” are now far edgier than in the past.  Since the election of Trump, nonstop blathering has occurred about the rise of anti-Semitism, while ignoring any of the Islamic refugees in Europe who aren’t fond of the jews.    Somehow, they even missed out on Trump’s inner circle of jewish staff, insisting upon ghost of anti-semitic vapors from Trump supporters.   More on that later.

 PewDiePie Pushes The Overton Window

Despite being abandoned by Disney, and demoted by YouTube, PewDiePie is one of the few who is absolutely self-sustainable with a fan base so massive.  His modest lifestyle means those tens of millions he’s made will last his entire laugh.   He can say anything he wants, and not worry about financial guerrilla warfare at his doorsteps.

I think he realizes this. Pushing boundaries is what PewDiePie started to do as he grew older toward the last few years.  Anyone familiar with chan and online trolling cultures realizes that the “lulz” is what it’s all about – especially for his largely Generation Z fans.  Still his stuff wasn’t nearly as aggressive as that of the chans, reddit, or even Breitbart and much of the recent alternative media.

While the Nazi Larpers from TheRightStuff have been dwelling on advancing their goyim memes and alerting us to the dangers of the juden, the rest of the internet hasn’t been too concerned with the Jews.

Sure a few here and there on the chans might be concerned about Jewish world domination, but what’s with the sudden alert to it?   Even before Trump, Jewish jokes were a favorite at parties – even by Jews.

Europe has experienced it’s fair share of “death to the jews” from recent peace loving refugees, but here in the states?  For Pew, it was the bridge too far – specifically for the big wigs.  Why is this a no-go-zone all of a sudden?

I’m not much for Jewish conspiracy theories, but its fact – or likely a hate fact now – that Jewish people are FAR overrepresented in media, banking, etc.  So far, I haven’t heard of calls to reduce their number in accordance to percentage of population by the diversity police who keep telling us they aren’t enough black disabled trans lesbians on the boards of Fortune 500 companies.

In fact, it’s been the opposite. Jews are still succeeding greatly and the social justice crybullies haven’t been able to bully them into self-loathing for said success and their group identity.  Then again, Jews are still apparently part of the “minority/marginalized/women/everyone else” vs straight white males.

Only way they might be kicked out is if the left is forced to chose between anti-Semitism or islamaphobia. If anything, I think it’s something to emulate – their success and tight group bonds that is.  Their media influence is great enough to put even mild critiques in that “Don’t touch zone.”

PewDiePie opened up the flood gates because of his platform reach when he violated that zone. Persian-American youtuber JonTron who isn’t a political activist has become the next Tuber with influence to say things he’s not supposed to.

Note, Jon almost exclusively talks about movies and games he finds interesting.  (Lovable teddybear YouTuber Boogie was attacked merely for defending Jon and taking a neutral stance. )  Consider the amount of vitriol he’s receiving for the rare times he says anything political or even controversial in nature.  That’s where we are at today.

He decided to go on a stream with Sargon Of Akkad where ironically they talked about how those on the far left have a habit of branding people with opinions they don’t like as Nazis.  Subsequently after this, he was branded a Nazi on twitter.

A particular tweet even threatens to kill him for joking about being a Nazi as the events of the past few months have established that it’s okay to attack people who’ve been accused of being Nazis.   That pretty much includes everyone who SJW types deem to be systematic oppressors with privilege.

His mugging by political reality has been fascinating to watch.   At least he is shrugging off charges of “white supremacy”, because clearly Persian Iranians have a place on Stormfront, though they did enjoy his willingness to discuss the topic.

JonTron under attack by social justice
Jon is waking up.

Other YouTubers who aren’t normally political in their channel content have been dipping their toes in sharing rather conversational thoughts.  What’s happened if they’ve been targeted by those who are utterly polarized in their worldviews.

If you aren’t sharing the accepted social justice montra while speaking about culture and politics, apparently you are against them. Even the comedy types like Philip DeFranco are now being accused of the ists and isms for his testy and boundary pushing comedy and commentary.  Surely the shouts of “Nazi” can’t be far behind.

Final Thought:  If everyone is a Nazi, who will really be one? The stakes to burn the heretics on are getting scarcer, as well as the those who shriek in condemnation at the word, “Heresy!”

You Didnt Care About Abuse Of Executive Power And Neither Do We Now

“But Muh Constitution!!!”

For the last two decades, we saw an increase in executive orders that covered everything from immigration policy to what amounts to military interventions in places like Libya without congressional approvalHundreds of drone strikes later on Pakistani elementary schools, the screaming shrieks over Trump’s slew of orders are laughable because we know the critics don’t hold themselves to said constitution and all of it’s problematic founders.

On a side note, what have all the previous presidents been doing? Trump in his ripe old age is on the rhoids of presidential power with the speed he’s gone about attempting to fulfill his promises during the campaign.  Anyway, back to the subject at hand.

Image and Credit to UPI
How do you like a taste of executive orders?

What media and higher academia taught us just this last decade – specifically in this election cycle – is that stomping on the constitution, shredding it, and then burning it while pissing on the ashes is not only acceptable, but a necessity.    Praise be to those admirable activists purging us of our intersectional systematic sins of “ist”, “ism”, and “phobia” by ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

Do as I say, not as I do and that “doing” will take place regardless of any constitutional protections, restrictions, and rights.  So why the absolute hypocrisy from our modern day leftist saintly paragons of righteousness?

Examine the logic at the core from our intolerant friends who justify their intolerance because the ends justify the means.  This is beautifully displayed in all of it’s logic by Mr. Tucker Fitzgerald in a Medium defending “Intolerant Liberals” in their lack of academic diversity and embracing of double standards.

“The progressive liberal agenda isn’t about being nice. It’s about confronting evil, violence, trauma, and death. It’s about acknowledging the ways systemic power, systemic oppression, systemic evil, work in our world around us. I’m not fighting for diversity. I’m not fighting for tolerance. I’m fighting to overturn horrific systems of dehumanizing oppression.”

So I and many other sinful shitlord deviants who haven’t checked our privilege enough have taken our crimes to heart.  This logic goes down to the very core. Double Standards for behavior, action, and everything else under the sun is okay because some animals – radical leftists apparently – have more rights then others.

“When liberals storm the cities’ streets to protest, rally, and yes, riot, in response to a Trump election, conservatives cry foul. They cry double-standard. Liberals expect conservatives to accept election results they don’t like; why won’t the liberals accept election results that didn’t go in their favor? Why won’t the liberals be relativists, like we want them to be, and treat all outcomes as equally valid?

Because all political decisions aren’t equally right. Aren’t equally moral. Aren’t equally recognizing of human dignity and justice and freedom. Because liberals recognize that there are wrong and right decisions, because they parse good and evil, contrary to what my church taught me about them.

Because democracy isn’t the only value we hold. We don’t accept the 51% enslaving the 49% by popular vote. We believe in human rights. We believe in the Bill of Rights. Because we balance the will of the people with the sanctity of each individual life. And no, your right to not sell flowers doesn’t outweigh someone else’s right to get married. Because not all rights are equal.”

Has the bitter realization of today’s actual political climate taken hold yet?  Not only are people like Fitzgerald not playing by the rules, but they expect you to hold those rules as sacred as Muslims do the Koran.

Double standards? They are above pesky standards and rules, but you aren’t and they will scream on the highest peaks about your immoral actions, words, and oppressive executive orders feigning belief in the red, white, and blue while burning during their street riots.

As TheAngryBlackWoman puts it, “Do shut up and listen“, you white ally scum.  Remember, you are next, no matter how much you act as cannon fodder.

We now know how the game is played.  There are no rules now. Common sense is Dead, and I’m not just referring to Thomas Paine.  Embracing executive orders as just another means to fight back and level the playing field is now part of our playbook.   The left has forced us to forget about a moral high ground they don’t even bother to hold.  You are now a target.

Once you’ve seen the face of the devil, you have no choice but to utilize his own tactics to make politics equal again.   Meanwhile, we won’t care about the unconstitutional measures used by Trump to Make America Great Again because we know Fitzgerald didn’t during the eight years of “Hope And Change”.   Now we are going to give you a revenge taste of Judicial activism.

Berkley’s recent peaceful riot should have awakened our bitter visualizations of  the future of “debate” via the flagpole of masked AntiFa and BlacBloc protests of “white supremacy”. If we don’t fight back, we will face an enemy that won’t be afraid of legal repercussions.  Sally Zelikovsky at The American Thinker makes this point in a very sobering article,”The Blood Libels Of The Left”

“Here is the cold hard truth:  with each riot and outrageous accusation, the left is emboldened.  It doesn’t matter that their message is chaotic, their delivery cacophonous. It is irrelevant that WE think they look ridiculous.  What matters to them is that they can manipulate the political scene today to achieve long-term goals ASAP.  This is the culmination of decades of liberal efforts behind the scenes.

They are simply leveraging the online infrastructure they have constructed, the vast networks they have built among the schools, the culture, the media, ex-Presidents, and current politicians, and the unity they have cultivated.  They have just been waiting for the right moment to pounce.

The election of a guy like Trump at a time when the fate of the Supreme Court hangs in the balance, when all political power in the states and federal government has shifted right, has provided them with that Arab Spring, Cuban Revolution, Bolshevik moment that gives them a collective thrill up their legs. “

Not only do we need to be prepared to defend our deplorable selves and our children, but we need to fight those wielding fire with fire and not care how our means are accomplished.  Rest assured, neither do they – and that includes the very Berkeley staff as to what Academia thinks about “diversity” of thought.  Don’t forget about the man in Seattle  at the Milo riot there because the shooter thought the victim was a “white supremacist” . It can and has now gone that far.  Yet again, “peaceful protestors“.

Even the blackest disabled man can be beaten by them if he holds ingrained said white supremacy in his heart – however the hell that works in concern to nonexistent diversity of opinion.   All “minorities and marginalized groups” must think alike, or be treated – and beaten – like us fellow deplorables as anyone can become a Nazi these days. In fact, if you’ve ever been physically beaten at a college campus, thank a professor.

When you hear the faux moral pleadings, laugh in amusement while pointing out they never cared about morals in their quest to force immoral measures upon the rest of us…. all in the name of modern morality; equality, diversity, unity, etc.   If they’ve endorsed punching “Nazis”  as a moral thing to do, then I have no problem with them being punched in the face for any reason regardless of moral implications.   I’m at that point.

As they became demons through their methods, they created demons in the rest of us.  When the Moors poured into France, Charles Martel took up the sword at Tours to defend Christendom from the Islamic crusaders.

Against groups like AntiFa, the time to turn the other cheek is past as is to be a part in a new Foxe’s Book Of Martyrs.  Summon your inner Charles Martel. Stand like  Jean de la Valette  on Malta and turn back the Turks.  Pick up your sword and repel the enemies at our gates.

The next time I hear about minorities being oppressed, I’ll point out that not only am I a minority, but that they never cared about the oppression of the rest of us.  Remember everyone on your Facebook feed that applauded punching “Nazis” when they say that Antifa don’t represent their protests because we are all “Nazis” now.

Trump Supporter = Nazi. 50% of the population apparently are Nazis.

Blame Baltimores Riots On Its Politicians

There are always complicated root causes behind why riots like these occur, but either people disagree about those causes and their reasons, or they simply don’t like admitting what they are.    There already have been comparisons to Ferguson, but Baltimore’s burning cityscape is the fault of those much closer to home.

Baltimore is no Ferguson. What they do share in common is arguably the issue with police abuse, harassment, ect that is encouraged and often demanded by local municipal governments that are out of control; raking every last cent out of people through taxes, fees, fines, and tickets.

In fact, let’s call a spade a spade.

More Riots Will Follow...
Victoria Bekiempis/Newsweek

Since 1967, Baltimore has been firmly controlled by democrats/liberals from the police to the schools to the ordinances.  They’ve been shaping these policies for over 40 years and should bare the responsibility for the situation that has resulted from their (1) heinous leadership, (2), inability to understand basic economics, (3) their quivering and cronyism to “certain” businesses, (4) their insistence on unaffordable city employee salaries and pensions.

The blame must be laid squarely on their shoulders.

Well, what about racism in the power structure of Baltimore?

9 of the 15 council members are black.

The state’s attorney and city council president are black.

The mayor is black.

The police chief is black.

What about the police?

“Half of the sworn command staff are minorities.”

48% of the police force currently are black.

55% of all the new applicants are minorities as well.

So racially reflecting the community doesn’t seem to be alleviating the tension here…

What about the economy in Baltimore?

Baltimore itself carries the fourth highest tax rate of any city in the nation.   (Emphasis on families who make over 150k a year and pay most of that tax.)

The poverty rate within the city is nearly 25 percent.

And its been ruled by the same people for 40+ years.    Should we still blame someone else?

So what is causing these people to be angry, devoid of opportunities, and in a state of mind to actually consider a riot?

Sputnik interviewed Baltimore local,  Antonio Willingham on Tuesday and he shed some light on the city’s rather lackluster economic reality with two important observations:

The issues run deeper than police violence in Baltimore, because the government has been closing schools and recreation centers while youth have been alienated by law enforcement officers. Police officers used to have closer ties with the young men and women in Baltimore’s neighborhoods, Willingham explained.

“We have one of the highest murder rates in the country. I do not like the black-on-black crime. They act like it is acceptable to have these guns in our neighborhoods and to target each other and kill each other.”

Another man interviewed by BigstoryAP had similar things to say about Baltimore’s economy.

“You look around and see unemployment. Filling out job applications and being turned down because of where you live and your demographic. It’s so much bigger than the police department,” said Robert Stokes, 36, holding a broom and a dustpan on a corner where some of the looting and vandalism took place.

He added: “This place is a powder keg waiting to explode.”

 What Else?

Some have pointed to Gray’s rather extensive criminal record as one of the reasons for his death.  Regardless of his criminal record, a trial by jury should occur before execution by those in blue.   His criminal record is also all drug related, so he isn’t anymore “dangerous” then a 3rd of all the other citizens of this country who indulge in recreational drug use and sometime distribution.

  • March 20, 2015: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
  • March 13, 2015: Malicious destruction of property, second-degree assault
  • January 20, 2015: Fourth-degree burglary, trespassing
  • January 14, 2015: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute
  • December 31, 2014: Possession of narcotics with intent to distribute
  • December 14, 2014: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance
  • August 31, 2014: Illegal gambling, trespassing
  • January 25, 2014: Possession of marijuana
  • September 28, 2013: Distribution of narcotics, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, second-degree assault, second-degree escape
  • April 13, 2012: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, violation of probation
  • July 16, 2008: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute

Well why did he have to sell drugs in the first place to survive? Blame can be leveled at the appropriate party once more – the Baltimore city government which had helped to choke the life out of economic opportunities.

You’ll recognize similar traits in other large cities in the US, often controlled by liberals such as Chicago, Detroit, New York, L.A., ect.   (This doesn’t excuse those run by conservatives either.)

– The incredible power of police unions that prevent any accountability to the local people.
– Local governments that are giving incredibly lucrative salaries to government employees which the city has to pay for.
– A vicious pushing of fees, fines, tickets, ect on any possible offenders to rake in money to pay for those government employees to offset the lack of tax dollars being generated from the cities economic plight.
– Plenty of “Got Ya!” offenses to nail people with so that they extract the above out of them. Conside the “zero tolerance policy of Baltimore’s Mayor, O’Malley  – a popular democrat who is now trying to run for President in 2016.

Remember why Eric Garner was killed in New York? He was trying to survive and make some money by selling “illegal” cigarettes on the side.   Why was that even profitable? Why are the taxes on cigarettes so high in New York?  Why was he so poor he had to resort to selling illegal cigarettes?

Additional blame can of course be leveled at the Federal government for it’s continued part in the drug war which will lead to many more Freddie Grays.

The people of Baltimore have continually voted in politicians who perpetuate the terrible economic situations they create an environment so hopeless, that the rage and anger of a riot actually seems like a valid option.   Stefan Molyneux gives a very good background and context to past decisions in Baltimore which have led to this firestorm.

What’s even more unfortunate is what gets torched, looted, and trashed in these riots – the properties of the locals – who will not justify the misplaced targeting when their businesses are burning.

Do we even have to mention how hapless the mayor has handled the situation? How she has exacerbated the rioters and the situation?  Or essentially encouraged and excused the lootings and burnings?  No, her comments weren’t taken out of context.

Mike Cernovich, is a licensed attorney who makes some extremely important points on his legal blog, “Crime And Federalism” as to why trust in the police and their lack of accountability is so bad not just in Baltimore, but in the entire country.

1. I’ve worked on actual police misconduct litigation cases for years and am one of few people who understand Section 1983 litigation. If you don’t know what qualified immunity is and don’t get the “Scalia’s new police professionalism” inside joke, you aren’t allowed to have an opinion on my civil rights bona fides. (I’m talking to you, hashtag activists.)

2. I’ve known and spoken out about the problem of police misconduct for almost 20 years. The problem has only gotten worse and will continue to get worse until liberals question some of their deeply-held assumptions about how the world does and should work.

3. Police unions make it nearly impossible for a police force to fire a corrupt or abusive officer. The same hashtag activists posting on Twitter are pro-union. The cognitive dissonance astounds.

Also, under most police union contracts, officers themselves are not held liable for their misconduct. If an officer beats you with a baton, you sue and win, it’s the city who pays up.

4. Affirmative action, another darling of liberals, allows abusive and unqualified officers to be hired for the force, and because of unions, it’s nearly impossible to fire them.

5. Black officers are just as likely to beat a black man as a white officer is. Power is color blind, and weird things happen to people when they put on that blue uniform, pin on a shiny badge, and strap themselves with a Glock.

6. Congress could cut police misconduct in half by eliminating the judge-made doctrine of qualified immunity.

7. In fact, qualified immunity is the most important issue in civil rights cases. Anyone who is not talking about qualified immunity is a talking head who lacks serious understanding of police misconduct.

8. Qualified immunity provides  police who break the law get a free pass. This NY civil rights lawyer explain the doctrine well:

I often write about qualified immunity. This a legal doctrine that allows public defendants in civil rights cases to win the case if their objectionable actions did not violate clearly established law even if, in hindsight, the court finds that their actions were in fact illegal.

In other words, ignorance of the law is an excuse if you’re a cop. Conduct covered by qualified immunity has included using a tazer to torture a man, sodomizing a man with a police baton, and sexually assaulting a woman.

How can police get a pass for obviously immoral conduct? Simple. Power protects power. Judges view themselves as being on the same team as police and prosecutors.

9. If you want to reduce police abuses, petition Congress to abolish qualified immunity. Ignorance of the law is no excuse for citizens, and it should be no excuse for those who have sworn to uphold the law.

10. Police misconduct is such a problem that when I and my white civil rights lawyer friend were confronted by police, we felt our safety was in legitimate danger.

I encourage you to read his entire post for better insight into the situation this country faces.  Future riots over police killings and economic unrest in general aren’t a question of “if”, but “when”.  JustAnotherVet makes this point:

“It’s not amazing that this riot is happening in a major US city. It is amazing that riots like this aren’t happening in every major city as a response to the systematic racism, police brutality, imprisonment and overall disrespect and contempt hurled at minorities in this country”

Ignore the identity politics appeal and his becomes very valid.  So get yourself some fire-arms; you may need them to prevent yourself from either becoming another Freddie Gray or a victim of some looter who thinks he can burn down your business.

Mandatory Church Attendance? Or Just Misleading Clickbait?

Another day, another sensationalist story and headline too good to be true.  With headlines like, “Arizona Lawmaker: Church Attendance Should Be Mandatory,” social media feeds burst with anger, vitriol, and waxed lyrically about the necessity of Church and State and the insane and theocratic idea that is mandatory church attendance…

Someone Suggested This ?!?!?! Not quite...
Someone Suggested This ?!?!?!
Not quite…

Except that context of this entire faux outrage is crucial, but inconvenient in how it gets in the way of relaying the full picture about mandatory “church attendance”.   It is of course very easy to believe the worst about people’s whose politics you don’t like.

During a committee with lawmakers in Arizona about gun control – specifically conceal and carry, state senator Sylvia Allen made some of the following comments that need to be seen for context:

‘“I believe what’s happening to our country is that there’s a moral erosion of the soul of America,” Allen said.’

‘Allen said more people may feel the need to carry weapons if a “moral rebirth” doesn’t occur in America.’

Notice that she is talking about the moral problems that are causing people to feel that they need to carry weapons.  She also points out that our erosion of religion is causing the problem – she is trying to go to the root of what she believes to be the problem – the sad state of morality in our nation.

“It’s the soul that is corrupt. How we get back to a moral rebirth I don’t know. Since we are slowly eroding religion at every opportunity that we have. Probably we should be debating a bill requiring every American to attend a church of their choice on Sunday to see if we can get back to having a moral rebirth…”

A vicious statement endorsing the violation of separation of church and state right?  Cue the twitter mobs,  Facebook notifications,  and maybe even the remnants of Atheism Plus to extract judgement. for this backwards Bible thumper.

Well, what does she say next?

“But since that would not be allowed and we would not even be debating that, I’m going to vote yes that people who are responsible who have a CCW permit don’t have to worry about their guns as they’re out and about and doing business in whatever building they’re in except ones that where they aren’t allowed,” Allen went on to say.”

She used hyperbole – or specifically an extreme to make a point, something that we all do in any honest conversation, because its far easier for people to understand extreme on a subject like gun control.

That didn’t stop 5NewsOnline from tossing out this Gawker like headline gem, “Arizona Sen. Files Bill To Make Church Attendance Mandatory.”   Except, yet again, there was no bill filed. There wasn’t even a serious suggestion.  Or was there?

She Filed A Bill To Do What????
She Filed A Bill To Do What????

Skepticism Of The Headlines?

The blogosphere for the most part didn’t get it either. SkepticJourney ironically forgot to be skeptical in his thoughts and/or examination of the entire story and MindfulDigressions wasn’t particularly mindful in a thorough expose of her comments in which he appeared to have noticed the context, but still missed the significance of it.

Neither did Bozosphere or TangoFoxTrot who didn’t bother to give the story a closer look.   Let’s not forget Commodore 1864, who just added this as a nother notch to the nutcases a.k.a. people he doesn’t agree with.   Nutspov may have understood the hyperbole, but I don’t think that’s because of developed skepticism of sensationalist news, but because it was pounced upon by left-wing outlets.

SeeingRedAz might have been the only guy who actually noticed her point in his justified criticism of Arizona Republic:

“State Sen. Sylvia Allen never called for “mandatory church attendance” though the newspaper wishes she had”

Facts. Those aren’t important.  I actually would have thought that people  would understand the extreme idea of mandatory and compulsory church attendance.  She noted that it wouldn’t even be allowed, which is obviously clear.  As one commentor put it:

“She was saying it was not possible to legislate church attendance even though it might help stem the moral erosion in America. The context was — since we can’t turn the tide of moral decay that she would vote yes for people have CCW licenses to carry and protect themselves in public places where it is legal. The headline is deceiving and the Farley was exploiting the comment by taking it out of context. What else is new in politics?

Indeed.   Context was deliberately ignored for this video as well, but who cares right?   It’s free traffic and is convenient to the narrative that a certain group likes to push.

Dem. Senator Steve Farley however was certainly going to ingeniously seize upon this “opportunity” to score some political points, regardless of the context or the point she was making.    This is why we can’t have nice things in politics – like open honest dialogue – because people are more interested in it making a sound byte then tackling issues the nation faces.

She was shocked that her comments would have been considered “controversial”.  They aren’t, if we bother to look at the context and her actual point, but social media feeds don’t bother with context.

There will never be conversations about “racism” which so many on the left lament the lack of “honest race dialogue”, when any attempt to actually be real and discuss it will be taken out of context for political gain.    If  it can happen with something like hyperbole regarding mandatory church attendance, then imagine the backlash on an “out-of-context” statement about race.  It could and would be far worse in that companies care about their PR images, not if what was said was actually racist or if the person is a racist.  Behold the fate of “truth on the internet.”

If I’m honest this faux outrage has caused me to give the “Obama called for mandatory voting” story much more scrutiny, because as I watched the video again,  he appeared to lament that enough people don’t vote – not propose any actual legislation about “mandatory voting”.   (Interesting critique here from HuffPo)

Is this an example of Obama simply trying to have an honest open talk that is yet once subjected to the merciless out-of-context machine that is internet journalism?

I’ve discussed the idea myself before, but I haven’t had to worry about someone tweeting it for the world to see.  Note, my libertarian views don’t allow for “mandatory voting”, but I’ve used the concept to make a point. Maybe the president was doing the same.

Congratulations, you’ve all been “Fox News’d”  and I know that really hurts.

#RaceTogether And Have Your Reputation Destroyed

Prepare Your Smartphones For War

#RaceTogether is a minefield filled with short-tempered caffeine deprived customers who consider the concept of patience to be hate-speech rather then a virtue.   Then throw in some barbed wired and machine gun nests known as the smart-phone.

Every one has a smart phone these days that can record any conversation – a blessing and a curse.   It’s a foregone conclusion that any actual honest dialogue can take place between groups of extremely racially sensitive people.   Your words are a tweet away from being broadcast to the dark corners of tumblr dwelling other-kins and SJWs who haven’t forget that people with dissenting opinions are actual humans.   Davis Aurini makes a good point about this:

That is just the obvious hindrance.  The actual primary problem is that people view this entire idea as less of a conversation and more of a, “I’m mad at your kind of people for these reasons,” lecture.   Actual dialogue on a subject so controversial can’t take place in any public setting as you could lose your job.

In fact, it doesn’t actually matter if you are what society considers to be a “racist” or any one of the “ists” these days.   Once accused in the public eye – or rather the social media feed – you are guilty until proven innocent which means you are forever guilty on a basic Google search.

Caffeine Deprived Intruders Are On Their Way.
Caffeine Deprived Intruders Are On Their Way.

The Poor Baristas…

Let’s think about the Baristas for just a second.  Not only does #RaceTogether fulfill that old joke about SJWs at liberal arts colleges becoming Baristas, it adds a particular new explosive compound for angry uptight customers to get free beverages and add further misery to the idea of “customer service.”

Perhaps Schultz has been preparing his guinea pigs for these kinds of experiments all along and actually intends to scare off some of his already well-off liberal white types who spend 3k+ on Starbucks a year.  After all, how many flak barrages intended to induce white self-loathing can these types endure?

Schultz’s idea will create friendly fire situations and the casualties will be his own fellow ideologues.   Think about it, how many of the intended targets – backwater redneck conservative stereotypes – actually frequent Starbucks who aren’t actively boycotting it?  That was a rhetorical question.

Despite the backlash and drubbing coming from various sides of the spectrum , some of the mainstream media consider this a great idea. Time Magazine actually proclaimed #RaceTogether as a “brilliant” and “bold move” rather then a kamikaze mission in which allies will have their eco friendly cars sunk.   No, this doesn’t make me happy, it makes me sad.

What about the dialogue?

An honest conversation about race will only occur (1) between friends & family with liquor involved and the smartphones put away and (2) when people stop seeing every last damn thing through a racial lens – namely SJWs and many on the left who base their entire identity off race rather then the actual person.

Remember, vast generalizations and labels of people based on their race, ethnicity, and gender are perfectly acceptable as long as it’s the right people.    Being judged based on who you are is just too tiresome and isn’t convenient for being a part of the continual victim club.

Is it Cultural Appropriation? Or Perpetual Fake Outrage?

Wait, You Still Are Racist!

Nothing can destroy your career, cost you Facebook friends, and present many other life-enduring difficulties such as people believing that you are racist or have done something racist.  Being declared as a racist is almost like being labeled a heretic in the 14th century, except you might not be burned at the stake… yet.

“Cultural appropriation” is just the newest frontier in the fight against racism – a struggle that looks like it will never be overcome, not even in the most luscious of utopias.  It is also a cleverly designed tactic by certain folks to not only stop “racism”, but to make sure that it continues to endure and spread.    You can shout cultural appropriation when a member of a different race, culture, ethnicity, ect does something similar to your own.   Once they stop, you can then shout, “Non-inclusive environments and ingrained structural racism is preventing them from appreciating the unique aspects of our culture in society!”   It’s a brilliant Catch-22 and a way to always have something “ethno-centric and racial-centric” to criticize.   Page views over controversial headlines anyone?

Now,  I’m half-white and I can play the “genocide” card, so luckily when I enter into specific left-wing conversations and “internet spaces”, nothing I do can be racist because there is no such thing as reverse racism, members of the oppressing class can’t be oppressed ect.    Sweeping labels and generalizations really are a wondrous thing.

I came across this article on XoJane by Dianca London,  “UNPOPULAR OPINION: I Can’t Love Taylor Swift Anymore Because Yes, “Shake It Off” Is Still Racist”.    Quite a claim.   So how was it and Taylor Swift being racist?

“I felt nothing but frustration and anger watching Swift’s quirky twerk and even more anger as I watched her crawl on her knees beneath a line of twerking bodies. The coy look on her face as she stared at the bodies above her made me sick. It wasn’t just problematic. It was racist.”

She ends this article with a stern warning about the effects of  cultural appropriation.

“Cultural appropriation might be a current hot topic for bloggers and those who consider themselves to be allies of women of color, but for women of color like me, it’s another reminder of all the ways in which my identity is constantly being devalued, mocked, and trivialized by the media and its stars. “

So how does one go about determining what exactly is culture appropriation?

Well damn.

Remember the white girl who donned some lengthy braids a few weeks back? She was eviscerated on social media, because apparently people of African descent own braids.   Apparently, there are many styles, foods, ideas, ect owned by certain cultures and those of us not in those particular cultures are left in stark and utter confusion as to whether we can make their food, listen to their music, or become Hindus.   At this point, we might as well throw Eminem to the dogs because “rap” is clearly owned by black folks.

I sense a disturbance in the Force.

But Multiculturalism?!?!

There seems to be this fine line between “appropriating minority culture” and embracing someone’s cultural ideas, styles, ect.  Can it happen in the reverse? Is all of history simply “cultural appropriation”?   Tumblr of course tells us that cultural appropriation can only happen one way, specifically when concerned with “White supremacy, white privilege, entitlement, colonialism, ect.”   There is a GIGANTIC elephant in the “cultural appropriation” room. It’s called multiculturalism – a deeply held value by many of those who also hold onto the idea of “cultural appropriation

It is very disturbing that in one breath people can rage about about society not being “inclusive” and then in the next use phrases like cultural appropriation?   The entire idea of cultural appropriation seems to be a direct contradiction in the embracing of the values of multiculturalism.   Or we can embrace the segregation of cultures with concepts like, “cultural appropriation” and then rage as to why racism and cultural conflict is “still” on the never-ending rise.

Wherever this “line” is, I’m still not sure.

A sneaking suspicion arises in my mind.  Those who claim “cultural appropriation” and offense from are desperate to find something to label, “racist”, so that people will pay attention to them.  Rising to the number one slot in the “Oppression Olympics” is far more important than real racism, because in order for the country to supposedly conquer racism, there must always be perpetual outrage concerning the subject, even if no racism is witnessed in one’s daily life.

Simply put, if you can’t find racism in someone’s actions or words, find something new to insinuate as “racist”.  I am however starting to not care about claims of cultural appropriation, whether someone else commits them or I do.

If you do want to call out and maintain a consistent platform that prohibits “Cultural Appropriation”, here are some great places to think about and start!

“1. Eating at Chinese restaurants by white Americans and other majority non-Chinese should be looked down upon, as it entails the physical ingestion of Chinese culture.

2. Anyone who suffers a serious but non-permanent physically debilitating injury shouldn’t be allowed the use of a wheelchair, as this is an ableist appropriation of differently abled culture.

3. Members of the privileged and oppressive white majority should never, under any circumstances, expose themselves to black entertainment or express an appreciation for it. Jay Z is for black men and women only and the producers of 12 Years a Slave should give back the film’s Best Picture Oscar in the name of making a direct statement against appropriation. The same goes for Latino entertainment. Production on Machete Kills in Space by Open Road Films should be halted immediately.

4. Under no circumstances should members of the privileged class give their children ethnic names without the express written consent of a majority of that culture or a dual ruling from the staff of Salon.com and that woman who runs Shakesville. Anglo Americans specifically should be required to research proposed names for their children to ensure that the meaning of each name has no ethnic connotation going back at least four generations. Also, no Biblical names unless one is Jewish or otherwise related by blood to the cultures of the Middle East and holy land.

5. Heterosexuals or members of the heteronormative patriarchy may not, during karaoke, perform the version of Willkommen made famous by Alan Cumming in the 1998 Broadway revival of Cabaret, as that would be an immeasurable appropriation of gay and bisexual culture. Likewise, no one outside of the LGBT, specifically the trans, community should be allowed to watch and enjoy RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
